Comite Christian Academy

www.comiteacademy.org

CCA is located at the corner of Flannery and Greenwell Springs Road.   From six weeks of age through the fifth grade, students of Comite Christian Academy are provided with an excellent educational environment in which they can grow to their maximum potential spiritually, academically, physically, socially, and emotionally.

Comite Christian Academy has had a high pass rate of the LEAP exam in East Baton Rouge Parish for the last five years.  In addition to the highest educational achievement, the students are free to recite the pledge of allegiance and they are free to pray whenever they like.

Our Nursery facility is state of the art and parents are invited to come by and visit during the day.  Our Preschool focuses on preparing young students to begin their education in a nurturing environment.

The Voice of the Martyrs

www.persecution.com

The Voice of the Martyrs is a non-profit, inter-denominational Christian organization dedicated to assisting the persecuted church worldwide. VOM was founded in 1967 by Pastor Richard Wurmbrand, who was imprisoned 14 years in Communist Romania for his faith in Christ. His wife, Sabina, was imprisoned for three years. In the 1960s, Richard, Sabina, and their son, Mihai, were ransomed out of Romania and came to the United States. Through their travels, the Wurmbrands spread the message of the atrocities that Christians face in restricted nations, while establishing a network of offices dedicated to assisting the persecuted church. The Voice of the Martyrs continues in this mission around the world today through the following main purposes:

Our ministry is based on Hebrews 13:3:

Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.

Help

We help Christians who are or have been, persecuted for their involvement in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. We provide medical assistance, food, clothing, and other forms of aid.

Love

We support Christians who are willing to invite their fellow men, even their persecutors, to Jesus Christ through faithful deeds of love in a hostile environment. We supply Bibles, literature, radios, and other evangelistic tools.

Encourage

We encourage persecuted Christians by giving their testimony a voice, informing Christians in the USA to know how to help. We believe that the lives and the testimony of persecuted Christians is a vital part of the fellowship of all believers and will challenge and strengthen the faith of Christians everywhere.

Greg & Tori Finley

WorldVenture

www.worldventure.com/Missionaries/Missionary-Directory/Missionary/Finley_Greg_Tori.html

Greg and Tori Finley are preparing to teach at New Creation Ministries (NCM) in Kigali, Rwanda. The people of Rwanda have such a limited understanding of the Bible that almost half the pastors attending NCM come to faith in Jesus Christ for the first time. Unfortunately, there are not enough teachers, so the Finleys are eager to help provide a strong biblical education, essential for spiritual growth.

The Finleys are looking forward to seeing how God will use their skills, experiences and talents to transform the hearts and minds of Rwandese to be like the heart and mind of Jesus.

5 Global Objectives of WorldVenture

  1. 1. Evangelizing the People of the World

We communicate the full scope of biblical truth—especially the Gospel—in word and deed, desiring to see as many people as possible become fully engaged disciples of Jesus Christ.

  1. 2. Extending Grace

We alleviate human suffering and minister to practical needs by providing food, clothing, medicine, shelter, education, economic development and other necessities wherever we share the Gospel, as did Jesus.

  1. 3. Establishing Churches

We establish vibrant local churches. Since building His church is central to Jesus’ purposes on earth, the churches we develop are devoted to planting other churches, fostering church-planting movements all over the world.

  1. 4. Equipping Leaders

We train dynamic and passionate leaders—missionaries and pastors, as well as in business, education, government, mass media, the arts and the sciences—well-equipped to make disciples locally, regionally and globally.

  1. 5. Encouraging Mission Movements

We partner with believers, churches and other Christian organizations to create international networks and mission movements actively engaged in spreading the Gospel “from everywhere to everywhere.”

Resurrection Life Family Ministries

www.rlfmgloryhouse.org

RLFM/Glory House is a Baton Rouge inner city faith-based ministry run by a small full time staff with a host of volunteers from other churches and organizations in the community. We are 501C(3) tax exempt  and a center of expertise for the Greater Baton Rouge Christian Ministerial Alliance for a faith-based approach to anger management.

We teach, preach and encourage individuals to come together, to build people (church without walls) to pray together, agree together, worship together, teach and tell each other to love and support one another. We envision a people who live holy and free from fear, poverty, sin, yokes, burdens, where the love of the Father is seen in each other and families dwell in God's peace.

Mission and vision:

  • Bring people to know and serve the Lord.
  • Offer hope & help in and around the community.
  • Offer counseling, teaching, and guidance to repair and restore family relationships.
  • Help struggling students to achieve a high school diploma.
