Urban Meyer, of the University of Florida football team recently resigned his position as their head coach.  Then, in a span of less than 24 hours he experienced a change of heart and decided quitting was not for him.  When asked why, Urban stated that the thought of turning the reigns of what had been built in "Gator Land" over to someone else who might change its direction was more than he could bear.  Later in the same interview, Urban was asked the question, did  he deal well with change?  His answer: "Up to this point, no!"  What would your answer be? Change is often difficult!  I'm not speaking of small changes like, will I dye my hair red or light brown with just a hint of auburn highlights at the tips.  No, the difficulty of which I speak comes when one seeks to change his or her entire life philosophy.  That's what being a Christian is all about, after all!  Becoming that "New Creation" the Apostle Paul speaks of in his letter to the Corinthians is both instantaneous and gradual.  It's both a shock and a trickle.  We experience Christ in a moment and then spend our lives learning how to become Christ.  We change!  Then we submit our selves to the process of change.  God the Holy Spirit enters, then He goes to work assisting us daily so that we might bear the image of our Savior.

It's important - this reshaping of our lives - because only new creatures are able to inherit the Kingdom of God!
